Wags Without Walks is not designed to take the place of veterinary care, behaviour support, training sessions, dog walking, daycare, hydrotherapy or any other professional service.
It simply gives owners practical, kind and achievable activities they can use between appointments, between walks, during recovery, on difficult days, or when their dog needs more mental stimulation and connection at home.
Because sometimes a walk is great
Sometimes it overwhelms
Sometimes it isn’t possible
And sometimes dogs simply need more
Calm the body
Helping dogs slow down physically through thoughtful movement, calm activities and games that reduce frantic energy rather than adding to it.
Activate the brain
Giving dogs meaningful ways to think, problem solve, sniff, search and learn so they feel mentally fulfilled, not just physically tired.
Lower Stress
Creating routines, activities and environments that help dogs (and their owners) feel calmer, safer and less overwhelmed in everyday life.
Make a connection
Building a stronger relationship through games, teamwork and shared experiences that help dogs and owners feel more connected to each other.

Wags Without Walks started after I wrote The Vet Says Rest and saw how many owners felt lost, guilty or overwhelmed when their dogs couldn’t be walked.
But over time, I realised it wasn’t only dogs on restricted exercise who needed this kind of support. Reactive dogs, puppies, older dogs, high-energy dogs, dogs who struggle to settle, and owners who can’t always manage long walks all needed more realistic options too.
The Club was created to give owners kind, practical ways to help their dogs use their brains, build confidence, feel calmer and stay connected — in a way that can sit alongside the support they already receive from trusted professionals.
